Daily outreaches where children are catered for

On the following days and areas: (NOTE!-Due to Covid-19, This schedule has changed.)

• Mondays: 970 children : Sewendelaan and Vaaldam -        *    - (These areas will gather at VAALDAM Cooking House of UNITA)

• Tuesdays: 850 children : Vlak (bottom part of Vaaldam) -   *.   - (These areas will gather at VAALDAM Cooking House of UNITA)

• Wednesday: 175 children : Kruisfontein Maak 'n Las. -       *    - (These areas will gather at VAALDAM Cooking House of UNITA)

• Thursdays: 297 children : Donkerhoek -                           #   - (These areas will gather at FIOOLTJIE Street Cooking House of KAYNA)

• Fridays: 490 to 900 children : Joykids Container Gill-Marcus - #- (These areas will gather at FIOOLTJIE Street Cooking House of KAYNA)

    THE ABOVE CHANGES WILL CONTINUE UNTIL FURTHRT NOTICE - SOCIAL DISTANCES AND FACE MASKE WILL BE ADHERE TO.

    A total of 2782 to 3182 children fed on a one week cycle only.  -  ( the total feeding has changed to about 499 Children per week. per area.

 

COVID-19 HAS AFFECTED THE ACTUAL FIGUERS TO A DRASTIC LOW - CHILDREN HAS ADDOPTED THE SOCIAAL DISTANCE AND WEARING OF MASKS

   In a given month there are 12,728 children fed that normally would not had any meal if we did not intervene. - ( This totals will be updated soon)

 

This is at the cost of only R5.89 per meal. (R75 000.00 divided by 12,728 meals)     ( we have scaled down a lot on the feeding of children)

The above does not include the meals that are prepared by the cooking houses on a daily basis.

Some days, there are more than 350 children visiting these houses per day. ( Lately at the kooking houses, we have now three sessions of 50 children P S)

 

Nourishment delivered to the five cooking houses are as follows:

   (This table has been ultered and is customised on availability of workers.)

• Mondays: Sewendelaan and Vaaldam

• Wednesdays: Kruisfontein Maak ‘n Las

• Thursdays: Donkerhoek, including Day care,

• Fridays: Gill-Marcus.

 

These houses are supplied with Rice-Mix with protein and bread. On Thursdays, they get Veggies and *Strawberries. *(season starts in August)

We are constantly requiring donations for food by companies who will be able to contribute tax deductible food parcels.
